We left Playa flamenca, Spain on sunday 11 november 06 early on the morning about 8 ish. We did a far bit of driving and for the night ended up at Futurescope in France. If you have a dog I recommend staying at any Camponile Hotel they dont charge extra and although the rooms are basic they are clean and dont cost the earth, about 52 euros. The next night we made it to Calais and stayed at the Camponile there, that was 53 euros! Now the next bit of advice, when catching the chunnel book ahead. We wasnt sure what time we would catch it so decided to pay on arrival they charged us 291 euros instead of the webprice 146 euros as you can imagine this was a shock so please dont get caught out like we did. Then to cap it all customs and excise decided to do a thorough search of our car with nothing to hide this didnt bother us it was just the hassle. All the time Shane took it in his stride even when he nearly got his tail cut off when the stupid customs man shut the car door on it.
